Hi, I'm Cory Nix! I'm Owner & Founder of Nix Chix, originally founded in Humboldt County.
My husband, Tim Nix, started it all by fulfilling my dream of one day owning chickens by bringing home four from our local feed store to surprise me one Spring afternoon.
I was instantly in love, and by the end of my first year owning chickens I was up to 18.
We moved to Foresthill with one thing in mind, more space. We chose a home on two-acres, and then it took off like wildfire.
Today, I own more than a hundred fowl. I am a mother of two boys and a real go-getter working as a Fitness Instructor/Coach, Swim Coach, and Sourdough Queen.
At Nix Chix we offer a wide range of varieties, specializing in egg color and beautiful plumage. We can give you a beautiful egg basket and gorgeous yard candy to boot!
We source our birds from private breeders from all over the country to create healthy bloodlines and improve genetics, all the while breeding towards the standard of perfection. While there is no perfect bird, we only choose the best from our breeding projects.
